Fun Family Activities in New York City this Week

There’s some amazing fun family activities coming up in New York City this week! Let’s check out a few of those now.

Theatreworks USA’s Skippyjon Jones Snow What

Tickets for this musical from Theatreworks USA are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so show up an hour prior to the performance to ensure that you and the kids can enjoy the tale of a Siamese cat who imagines he is El Skippito Friskito

“The Hunger Games: The Exhibition”

The odds are definitely in your favor at this super–interactive, totally immersive exhibit insipired by The Hunger Games. Kids will learn about science, technology and problem–solving as they follow Katniss Everdeen’s inspiring and action–packed journey.

Robot Swarm

Kids will marvel at the Museum of Mathematics’ futuristic new exhibit, featuring more than 20 small, light-up robots. The ‘bots zoom across the floor, interacting with museum-goers and communicating with each other thanks to high-tech motion control.

Big City Fishing

For this aptly named program, the Hudson River Park Trust runs beginner lessons in multiple locations throughout the summer. Kids can learn the rod-and-reel basics, and get familiar with the types of fish that swim the local waters.
