- Drink plenty of fluids
- Eat 5-6 meals a day
- Avoid exposure to second hand smoke
- Walk and exercise regularly
- Take pre-natal vitamins as directed by your physician
- Rest well
- Maintain communication with doctor, midwife and/or doula with prenatal care, screenings, exams, and support.
- Take a childbirth class
- Stop smoking and alcohol use
- Keep control on stress levels
